The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.

"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
